He is a better combination puncher, he's not and never has been faster than Floyd though while throwing.

while throwing combo's? yes he has

floyd when he combo's seems to slow down immensely, i think the fastest he was, was vs corley with the uppercuts in the inside

EDIT: pity the marquez combination punching video has been taken down

People keep talking **** like Mayweather beat Cotto easy. I was there and I can tell you the fight was a close fight. The scorecard don't reflect the reality. Why you guys think Mayweather try to close strong in the last round? Do you guys think he come like that in the last round if he will feel comfortable leading the scorecard? In my opinion could be like 7-5 May or even a draw .

His hands aren't faster while throwing then Floyd. I'm sorry. Marquez is a better combination puncher though for sure. Floyd is a far better fighter though.

When you are there in attendance, fights often seem closer than they are. Take the Hatton-Floyd fight for example. Hatton fans though it was close going into the 10th, when in fact it was 8-1/7-2 Floyd at the time.

Floyd won a wide UD. Cotto won the 6th, 8th, and either could have won the 9th. That's it.

And again, you brought up Floyd being slow when throwing combo's and he's not, that's all.

And to be fair, isn't Floyd 3 weight classes above his best too??? His best weight by far was 130.

Didn't put on the weight correctly??? Oh but he did against Pacquiao, of course. Get outta here. Floyd is a just a better fighter. Marquez looked the exact same against Pac at 144 as he did against Floyd at 144. Floyd is just better, and it's not like he imposed his size on Marquez, he out boxed him the entire night.
seems like floyd can do no wrong in your eyes though. He has never been a good combination puncher and when he does throw them they certainly don't look as fluid as Marquez'.

I didn't say he's as good or as fluid a combination puncher, all I said is he still has fast hands when he does throw them.

Floyd can do wrong in my eyes, I thought he lost the first Castillo fight, though it was close. To that Maniac guy though, he won't even admit that all 3 fights with JMM-Pac were close and could have gone either way.

I like both fighters and this fight right here was arguably one of my favorites, if not my favorite for both of them. They both tested each other in uncomfortable spots and it made them both dig deep and really have to test themselves. Wonderful fight. A fight a lot of us will remember for quite some time.
