It's so tainting for the sport.

Peterson was caught cheating. Shame on him. But more shame on the boxing commission for continuing to allow cheaters to fight; which was my only point in this entire thread.

Everyone is suspect of cheating until they take the test; that's true. But to compare what Ward's done with what Pac's done is down right foolish. I've already explained why.
And Hopkins, why have you never brought him for for refusing OST?

All of them are suspect. People are asking for it and coming up guilty, how much more those avoiding it?

I said it a long time ago that most if not all of the top Fighters as well as Athletes are on something. It can be sightly bending the rules or breaking them all together, but IMO, none of them are completely clean.

Most will not get caught, but there are some solutions. This 1 year ban stuff has to go. Make it 3 years instead. Then other fighters might lean the other way on the risk vs reward scale. One year will not hurt most fighters. Most top fighters fight only once or twice a year anyway.

Also make testing year round mandatory for all fighters.

Then why in 40 pages of this thread is PAC lambasted every single page and Hopkins barely gets a mention?

The reason this sport is doing nothing is because there is no true governing body. No Promoter wants to foot the bill either. Since there is no oversight, someone should talk ESPN, Showtime and HBO to require it for all fights they carry be tested.

That is not a real solution, but it is a start
