Cotto did his best Saturday night. He did well. He excelled when doubling up on his left hooks and jabs.
A match up with canelo is dangerous. He is young and strong at 154. I don't know if cotto has enough for a strong young challenger that seems to not have a lot of hand speed but explodes nice crisp 4 5 punch combos.
It would be an interesting match up.

I doubt Cotto comes back this soon. He has not fought with that few months apart in a number of years. Add to that he is coming off of a loss and that he had a record pay day for him I don't expect to see him in the ring in September. I say he fights at the end of the year at the earliest.
