I'm sure Max Schmeling thought the same damn thing.

I don't understand why "fans" nowadays brush off fights because of the expected outcome. Just let the guys fight, if Floyd win an even more convincing UD then so be it, but if they feel like doing it again we can only gain from it as fans.

Mayweather has much bigger fights to make. Cotto lost, he lost quite clearly, and Mayweather doesn't fight enough to waste time on a Cotto rematch.

Max Schmeling wasn't suppose to win that fight.........Joe was using Max as a tune-up for an eventual title shot. That was considered an upset. When it's an upset, even if the fight wasn't that close, there's always a better chance to get a rematch, because the expected otucome didn't happen. With Floyd and Cotto, Floyd won handily by a wide UD, and he was expected to. No need for a rematch.

yes we all know its because mayweather is so enthusiastic about pursuing the only 2 other fights that would be competitive with sergio or pac....the way i see it is his only 2 options for a good fight where he would get credit for his wins or loss being that they are the 2 best out there for him to fight...win or lose i would give him more respect for taking those fights...running,ducking and putting up roadblocks doesnt cut it in my book especially if ur road block is still " take the test" when even the commentators for hbo said " thats not the issue anymore " grow some balls mayweather and stfu up and fight already. the more he talks to dumber he looks

I don't want to see it again, at least not immediately.

I wouldn't have a problem with a rematch if it didn't cost me $60 to watch it, but since it will I would rather see Floyd fight someone else for the time being.

unless cotto trains to be more busier and gets more stamina for the championship rounds, it'll be the same outcome.

and floyd will never fight pac. merchant asked about his stand on the money split and floyd stuttered and went off on a tangent again with his ****** reply about drug testing. lol whats up with that.

ACtually he said very clearly Bob Arum is standing in the way before he said take the test stuff.

No. No rematch. No controversy and it wasn't a FOTY candidate.

I see no reason beyond the money to have a rematch/
