MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Carlos "El Indio" Quintana (29-3, 23KOs) was very excited following Saturday night's sixth round knockout victory over Deandre Latimore on the Floyd Mayweather-Miguel Cotto televised pay-per-view undercard. no quintana you would ge whopped worse than when berto knocked your ass out. Quintana doesnt like to get hit and when alvarez catches him on the ropes its good night.

El Indio gets no action. Not after a brutal ko win, no way.

I wouldn't mind this fight. Canelo needs to keep gaining experience against veteran opposition, and Quintana fits the bill. Indio presents a style that Canelo hasn't dealt with yet. He passed the 1st test in Mosley, this could be good, and potentially tough, 2nd test.

                Not acceptable.

Canelo needs to fight a top ten guy.

Canelo should be fighting at least 3 times a year, and this would be a good stay-busy fight. At least Quintana's coming off a win. Kirkland is coming off a mediocre win against Molina. I think Canelo/Quintana and Kirkland/Molina 2 should be on the same card.
