Floyd clearly won the fight and he won more respect from fans (including myself) for sticking to his guns and going toe to toe. He left the door open for Cotto and beat him at his own game when he could have easily used his outside boxing skills for a clean sweep. Props to Floyd. That being said, I'm having a hard time trusting compubox stats that seemed out of whack. I understand you're supposed to count "clean" blows but it seemed that Miguel got little credit for most of his borderline punches while Floyd got the benefit of the doubt. Yes, Floyd won the fight and you could clearly judge 5-6 rounds for him but there were a lot of close rounds and it was sickening to listen to the HBO discredit anything Cotto did (especially Steward).

Steward has an axe to grind, He tried to criticise Diaz's tactics and gameplan, trying to say he knew better, but it was obvious he was just taking shots.

I also think that Floyd's fans cannot grasp the fact that Miguel fought Floyd that well & most are upset that everyone doesn't agree that Floyd dominated. I really haven't seen more than about 2 people claim that Cotto won, but Cotto did win more rounds IMO than the judges credited him for.
I agree with you bro! No way, shape or form do I think Cotto won the fight but it was closer than people are saying. After the 8th I had it a very close fight with Miguel gaining momentum. You would be hard pressed to find many dominant rounds by either fighter at that point. Then Miguel lost steam in the championship rounds and the rest is history. People listen to the broadcast team a little too much without using their own sense, Cotto could have knocked Floyd on his a** and HBO would have said it wasn't a clean blow and commended Mayweather for hitting the canvas like a true technician.

Watch the Boxnation coverage, they would put some of the Floyd die hards on this site to shame.

Cotto caught Floyd with a double jab and landed a right I think, and they said look how good Floyd is, he is giving Cotto chances to land.

Mayweather throws 670 odd punches and amazingly his accuracy drops the the 20s..

Its only because of how Mayweather fights that he is so accurate.

mayweather could of done what he did in the 12th and hit and move but he CHOSE to stand his ground why do people get offended by this ? Way too many haters and they WANT TO BELIEVE and brain wash themselves that floyd couldnt have moved if he wanted to. Floyd rocked cotto and could of KO'D him in the 12th but backed off, floyd stunned cotto numerous times in the fight cotto didnt stun floyd once, floyd had a bleeding nose and people are taking it as though mayweather had his jaw snapped. Kinda sad when a bleeding nose in a fight lol becomes such a truly life threating wound LOL.

Like I have been saying for a long time now, Pacquiao has better accuracy than Floyd.

Cotto tired in tha championship rounds. Cott also had Floyd punching thin air, guess Floyd wanted to do that as well because it was what the fans wanted to see.

I find it odd people are saying Floyd chose to stand toe to toe? Cotto man handled him quite a bit and also hit him a lot which tires you out.

Floyd and the floyd fans always said 'hit and not get hit' and now thy change it to Floyd chose to.

Lmfao at how they change their motto each fight.

From the instant replays and commentating you would've thought Floyd landed 95% of his punches.
