  • I'm surprised no one has mentioned the fact that Floyd was battling a cold the week leading up to the fight. That combined with the heavier weight led to what many of you perceive to be declining reflexes/speed. Floyd is still sharp and will make easy work out of Pacquiao due to size difference and boxing IQ.

but today at 35, pac will be faster and give floyd a lot of trouble...
Dude all Foyd has to do is counter just ike Marquez did. pacman got exposed. Floyed just showed he can **** with a puncher and as we all know counter agreesive, defense-less punchers like Pacman.

      • Many of you have forgotten that Cotto vs Pacman was at 145. With Cotto drained, and basicaly trained himself. The cotto we say tonight didnt look like a deadman walking and had a great corner. Still got served an ass whooping.

try being at your lowest possible weight, and then try losing 2 extra pounds and see what that does to you.

Nice try lol. Cotto came in at 146 against Clottey 5 months before he fought Pac. That's a 1lb difference from the Pac fight. If each pound is so valuable he wouldn't have come in under the limit for Clottey.

            • 117-111 a few rounds could have gone either way. Perhaps Floyd would have had alot more problems if he fought Cotto a few years ago.

I gave Miguel at least 5 rounds. He was caught by Mayweather's effective aggression but at the same time controlled the Ring Generalship. This fight shows you that had Mayweather fought Cotto in 2007-2008, Cotto would've done even better. To all of those people who thought Mayweather would 'Gatti' Cotto, give praise to Cotto's proud performance. Well done Mayweather.
Yup ghatti is a patsy compared to Cotto.. Cotto shows a prime cotto would have nailed Floyd for sure.

Mayweather fought the worst Cotto of the two.

Pacquiao fought an older and more past it Marquez.

                  Everything evens out.
better marquez ? no shot not even close marquez at 130 was a beast and the jacked marquez was better then the flabby one floyd fought so stoppppp u sound silly
i agree mayweather fought the better dlh and hatton but pacquiao handled them with ease and mayweather had very tough time with both
                  so whats your argument

How was it the better Hatton when his natural fight weight was 140 and he moved up to fight Floyd? If WW was a good weight for him he would've stayed there not come back down.

Cotto will run the 154 division for a long time though if he doesn't retire. This fight was either a 9-3 or 8-4 for me.
what you don't get is that it's cotto who wanted him in the ropes. Cotto was muscling Floyd to the ropes. That was his game plan. I must say he did pretty good. His stiff jab pushed floyd to the ropes. More of thos stiff left jabs would have been a different story.
