The very best thing that Floyd can do for himself is to put a wicked beating on Miguel Cotto on Saturday.

None of this "coasting to the finish" stuff like he did with Marquez and Mosley (both of whom he could have stopped). No admiring his work. No clinical boxing lessons. A beating.

If Floyd wants to re-set the conversation, he needs to keep his foot on the gas and embarrass Cotto. If he could.

    And then just shut up.

Come on now. Cotto losing is certaintly a highly probable outcome Saturday night, but it's not a foregone conclusion.

Some fans genuinely don't talk **** no matter who the opponent is.

I'd say we can agree to that, if not, there is mucho bias going on.

I dont knock him for it, I understand it, but thats what happened.
Not easier, more profitable. There was no way to fight ODH if he didn't spend 750k to buy out his TR contract. This is a case where the more profitable road had lesser quality opponents.

Based on what Roger was saying, Floyd might be coming in on his A game... If Cotto goes down from shots he doesnt see like with Pacquiao, that may be the case here... the pull counter will be in full effect... and if he pressures with wide hooks that inside roll uppercut is going to land flush. Zab had him on Sesame street for a minute with the uppercut.

Unless Floyd comes in and LOOKS 35 1/2... I foresee a fight full of highlight reels.

Fighting Baldomir instead of Margarito was not easier?

Floyd is going to retire with a bunch of recognizable names, and a ridonkulous YouTube video of him (mostly) dominating these guys. So will Pac.

We are hardcore boxing geeks who know boxers' wives names. But to the guy in the cubicle or at the barbecue grill, all he knows is that Floyd beat everybody up.

That guy wouldn't know Kostya Tszyu if he walked in the room.

probably more, cuz he would have beaten the real best fighter at ww at the time.

I shouldn't have even come in here.
