    Both are true.

I dont fault Floyd for either one, but both are true.
I think he's just highlighting the double standard.

Mayweather was green as hell when he beat Hernandez. More green than Canelo is now.

      Either way... statement stil stands.

And like I said, I don't fault or deduct Floyd at all for either fight.

canelo started boxing at 13 and had only 20 am fights
floyd started training for boxing at around 3 and had 90 am fights

          Ok.

But as professionals. Mayweather was less experienced at 20 than Canelo is now.

Of course he has his Amateur pedigree. But of course, the Amatuer's and pro's are different.

if and when that happens then we can talk.

At the end of the day no fight outside of pac and serg will make fans happy... But if he fights and beats serg the thing will be serg was old and overrated anyway. If he fights canelo, he will be bashed, if he beats pac he waited until pac got washed up... So ur pretty much gonna be complaining on boxingscene for the years to come buddy. Good luck

Yeah, fair enough. They are both true.

I think the specific use of the word Cherrypick to describe his fight with Hernandez is obviously untrue, though.

But is the word "cherrypicked" appropriate?

Floyd was an up-n-coming contender. Genaro had the WBC belt. How was that a cherrypick?

Floyd needs no WW belt now. Pacquiao aside, who can/should he fight at 147? Nobody outstanding. Canelo is one of the three best fighters at 154, and commercially makes the most sense. Is that a "cherrypick"? Personally, I don't think so.

If Floyd had gone and took the WBC middleweight title from Zbik, that would be a cherrypick. Clearly. SRL taking the LHW title from Donnie LaLonde was a cherrypick. Arturo Gatti getting a belt from Damgaard was a cherrypick.

                Tu sabes?

lets enjoy this fight Saturday and see what comes next then before complaining

Genaro at the time... Not as much of a cherry pick, but Canelo is.

                    Plain and simple.

Canelo has fought "a" Cotto, "a" Hatton, Cintron, Mosley and Baldomir. Those are not elite opponents, but they are experienced guys. Alvarez has been under the lights. On PPV. In big arenas.

Canelo is not "green" He is "young". There is a difference.

                      Is Amir Khan "green"?
