Are Boring American Fighters Killing the Sport?

The multiple belts and commissions are killing boxing.
We need 1 governing body and 1 belt per weight class.Comment

Dawson lol...only fighter who is actually top class mentioned is Andre Ward and no offence to the man but his fights are boring as ****
As well as being boring, these fighters are all very protected. People make a big deal about Paulie going to the Ukraine and winning - this is what foreign fighters have to do every time and even if they win they still get robbed. Ask Kotelnik, Khan, Kessler, Campillo, Lara, Matthysse, Zaveck, Katsidis they'll tell you, victims all, but mere collateral in the vain search for the next US star to make corrupt old men richer.
It's a good thing there are exciting foreign champions in boxing like Martinez, Pacquiao, Froch, Cotto, Alvarez, Khan, Maidana, Bute etc because left to the US fighters alone, boxing would already be dead and buried.Comment

How about you name some fighters that are not "boring" like you said that are not American. I love KO's just as much as the next fan but not every single fight will end like that. I like to see some defense as well. Watching a fighter make another one miss and then punch the piss out of them is just as exciting to me.Comment

On a per fight basis, Tyson was the highest selling, with Floyd in 2nd. Look up the numbers. Did Oscar sell 1.4 million with Mosley???
You could easily say Floyd and Pac, per fight right now, sell more than Oscar did at his peak.Comment
