That's the problem, he COULD'VE stopped Mosley, but he won't take the risk to go the extra mile just to be on the safe side. As far as Ortiz, I saw more lead right hands and ducking into Ortiz more than him throwing combinations. The one instance in the 3rd-4th round when he threw combos it wasn't anything like what he used to throw back in his prime. This isn't to say Floyd is way past it, but Floyd is a very cautious fighter, especially since being at 147. He knows Cotto can ****, so he's not going to make it a Miguel Cotto fight, he's going to make it a Floyd Mayweather fight which doesn't consist of pressuring the fighter and throwing a lot of punches more than being economical and fighting letting his defense frustrate the opponent. He's stated several times he's gonna take this person, that person out, but in the end it's what makes Floyd the most comfortable what we'll see.

One can point to his KO over Hatton, but if anyone would like to debate Cotto and Hatton in relation to overall skills / smarts, be my guest.

Unless Floyd gets old overnight, there is no righty in history who is going to hit Floyd clean. He has mastered his D against righties. A Southpaw might catch him with some B.S. but a righty wont. Both JMM & Shane landed one or 2 good shots early but those were both mainly due to Floyd not being active.

He's still not that active now since the Ortiz fight only went 4 rounds but Cotto also doesnt have that speed or precision to land those shots. He's going to let his hands go and he's going to hurt Cotto bad.

When's the last time we've seen Floyd get into a "War"? Floyd fights HIS fight and takes little risk. Though Floyd is heavily favored in this fight, Cotto by far is a smarter and craftier guy than guys he's fought in quite a while. I just think he's drilling the media and trying to get into Cotto's head w/out necessarily talking him down.

We're going to see the same Mayweather we saw against Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz. Patient, careful, and economical with his punches. "Pretty Boy" Floyd won't show up in this fight.

Attack, attack, attack is what Cotto is going to have to do and that will

Watch the latest Floyd vid on Fighthype where he talks about him being different then everyone else. Where he says that just like Cotto fighting Margarito who has bad footwork and cant pivot right.

To me its like Shane fighting Floyd after he fought Margarito. It was a shock to his system and its going to be a shock to Cotto's system. Floyd is going to be so much more faster than Margarito, more skilled, way better defense, etc.....

Its bad to go from fighting Margarito to Floyd in the very next fight. Cotto will see the difference quickly and it will be bad for him
