I heard through the g**** vine, nutritionist thought he could get him down to 140 after fighting at 147. He was 142lbs 6weeks into camp and lost muscle mass that he couldn't replenish. Oscar was drained and depleted and only gained 2lbs after official weigh in. I think if he would've came in comfortably at 147, and rehydrated accordingly, it would've been a different outcome! We will never know!!

I know this thread has 6 pages, so someone else probably (hopefully) said this already, but the fight was at 147 because Oscar was planning to go to that weight to rematch Floyd for his WW title. That's why he took the Forbes fight at 150; as a tuneup, and to get accustomed to the lower weight. Floyd retired, and then Manny came into the picture.

BTW - I can't believe no one who posted on the first page said this. When did you start watching boxing, Floyd-Mosley? Jeez.

Manny simply can't handle versatile fighters who know how to hit him and not get hit. Look at how a past prime Marquez managed to expose him. De La Hoya would have done the same thing but far more convincingly because he had a better jab and much more punching power.
What versatility did Oscar show vs Floyd? He was hunched over all night, stopped using his jab, and gassed out at the end- like he always does.

When's the last time someone even knocked Pacquiao down?

As some said, Pac is already jumping up 2 weights while Oscar going down 1.

Can't believed for someone like Dela Hoya, who owns Golden Boy Promotions, did not get a highly known sports nutritionist to help him go down in weight. He could have weigh in at the limit of welterweight and gain 10 pounds or more during fight night.

just like Flyd dragging Juan up 2 weightclasses with no nutrinionist let alone personal PED chemist to help him prepare.
On top of it Floyd packed on more weight than originally agreed upon.
Imagine if manny did that ?
JMM had 2 fights under his belt at 147, a known steroid dealer and 24 rounds of experience in the bank with Pacquiao.

Besides JMM, with common opponents Manny blows Floyd out of the water.
After Saturday that seperation will be impossible to catch.
The Manny Floyd fiasco is over thanks to Miguels asskicking.
