also, the Floyd-Mosley fight was nearly 4 months after the Berto fight got cancled. Guys use to fight that much all the time. People just wanna discredit Floyd. They act like the Floyd fight was just 45 days later or something. It was nearly 4 months. I dont get it. I never got that excuse. The fight got cancled in Januaray and they didnt fight until May

lol... Floyd has taken a million vacations like that. Its like people hold him to a different standard. He had just been off 2 years before JMM which everyone thought was a joke fight.

Also, Shane went through a whole camp so its not like he was doing nothing. I mean if Cotto gets injuried today, Floyd would still be in great shape ready to fight. He did everything but get in the ring.

Its like if Floyd did everything for the Gatti fight but they cancled it a week before, do you think Floyd would still not have been the same guy that killed Gatti? He went throught the camp. He did everythigng but fight. Thats good enough

LOL this is a farce fight, not as much as Floyd/Marquez, because thats in a league of its own, but still a farce.

And I hated that fight as well in 2009. But you have to give him credit after seeing JMM arguably beat Manny at the same weight.

I can't believe people are going to give Manny credit for beating a past prime-still good Cotto, but then not give Floyd his due for a past prime-still good Cotto......amazing.

Who's issue is that? Floyd didn't make Shane become inactive. And the circumstance with Berto pulling out of the fight with the tragedy in Haiti obviously has to be taken into account. Hell, Floyd had only fought once in almost two years before fighting Shane, which a lot of people failed to mention.

its no ones fault really, but the fact still remains that FLoyd fought a shot Shane.

He was the best opponent sure, but it doesnt change the facts.

That's not what the masses were saying when Mosley interrupted Floyd's post fight interview. Brian Kenny, R.A. The Rugged Man, Pac fan boys and Floyd haters alike swore that not only was Mayweather scared, but that he wouldn't take the Mosley fight in a million years.

Mosley was past his prime completely since around 2007-2008. It doesn't change the fact that Floyd beat him when he was coming off the huge TKO win over Margarito, was the #1 ranked WW, and had entered the Top 10 P4P after that win, and when EVERYONE was saying he needs to fight him or retire, and that if he fights him he gets credit. We need to bump that thread from Late 2009/Early 2010 that was on here again.

Had Floyd not fought Shane when he did, EVERYONE would have said he was ducking or something. You guys know that. Everyone was saying he needs to fight Shane at that time, you know that's the truth.

And had Floyd opted to fight Canelo or some **** instead of Cotto at 154, everyone would have said he should have fought Cotto at 154. Cotto is past his prime-still good, can still fight and is important for Floyd to get on his resume. Both Floyd and Manny are doing the two best fights for each right now, aside from each other and Sergio who fought in March.

Again, someone just discrediting Floyd. Now Mosley took 2 years off? I missed that somewhere. How did he take 2 years off when he fought Margarito at the end of Jan of 09 and fought Floyd on the 1st of May in 10? That means he only took of 15 months, not 2 years. It was a year and 3 months, thats it.

My point to you about the JMM fight is what you just said. You think that fight with JMM was a joke so how did that even prepare Floyd? It was nothing, right? Before the Moslye fight Floyd had 1 fight in 2 and a half years and that was the fight you called a joke but Floyd was the active one that was way more prepard? Joke
