Fair enough. Perhaps it's simply because I've only known the washed-up Jones. Were you around to see him fight in his prime?

No I wasn't but the availability of footage allows me and you to view him and he's simply a phenom.

I don't really watch Jones fights these days if I'm honest, still haven't watched Hopkins II and don't really plan on doing so.

He beat 3 ATG HW's in his era. Langford, Jeffries, and Fitzsimmons. On top of that, he had wins over Gardiner, McVey, Ferguson, Burns, Ketchel, and Moran, all top fighters in his era. How the hell does Jack Johnson not belong in the Top 10???

Has to be one of the craziest knockouts ever.

Jack Johnson is definitely in the Top 10, don't see how anyone could leave him out.

I guess if your big on beating on very old or very green greats or midget bashing well known names he could be there.

Fitzsimmons was very old as was Jeffries. Langford and Gardner were about 154 for their bouts. McVey and Jeanette were horribly green. Ketchel was a middleweight.

I don't really want to hear the "you can do that with anyone's resume" as you can't do it to that extent with such ease with anyone elses.

Harry Wills arguably has a better resume.

Weights and fighters going through then back then was way different than it was today, it was just a different era. In his era, Jack Johnson beat the best. His resume is in the Top 10.

I guess Jack Johnson was a cherry picker to you, oh well.

Why did he avoid Langford so much that France removed Johnson as the HW champion?
Why did Jeanette and McVey not get shots at the title despite deserving?

Yes he ducked black fighters shamelessly and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
