let me help u out brah, click back one page and read my last post, u know what here i'll post it again LOL!! now u beat it! LOL!

Michael Koncz, the Team Pacquiao adviser and manager who has been negotiating with Floyd Mayweather Jr in recent times trying to set up the biggest fight in boxing, has taken some issue with some of the things Floyd Mayweather Jr said after he named Miguel Cotto his next opponent for May 5.

Here's what Mayweather said earlier about Manny Pacquiao, and why the fight isn't happening next:

"Pacquiao is blowing a lot of smoke up everybody's ass. He doesn’t really want to fight. I tried to get him to step up to the plate. We're talking about a $10 million dollar fighter that I tried to give $40 million dollars to, and we didn't even talk about the backend. Everything that everybody is hearing is a bunch of lies. I got proof."

Mayweather did indeed offer Pacquiao a $40 million flat fee, and Koncz doesn't dispute that. Most read it as basically a 70-30 split for Floyd, after he said he wouldn't do 50-50.

Bob Arum returned with a grandstanding $45 million flat fee offer to Mayweather.

Here's what Koncz said to ******.com about what was offered:

"There was no discussion of the back end. However, our counter offer to Floyd Mayweather was a $50 million guarantee, plus the overage on the pay per view would be split 45 percent to 55 percent, with the winner getting 55 percent. ... I wish Floyd luck on his fight with Cotto, and he has my number. The lines are always open to discuss with Manny and me, the possibility of fighting in November under fair and reasonable terms."

Shade, I've never said he should accept $40 mil. That said, thats about $12 mil more than his highest payday. Obviously, its small relative to the EXPECTED sales of the fight. But lets not act like manny is getting completely screwed by taking that offer.

Think about it regardless of which side you're on. Pac has NEVER made 40 million in his pocket on a fight. Floyd basically pulls him to the side and says, look, let's do this and you'll clear 40 million all to you. I don't know about you guys but if my boss' competitor offers me more money in my own pocket than anything my boss has ever offered, its a deal. What does Pac care what the PPV gate is when he's not gonna see it? Do I feel he deserves 50/50 ? Yes. But even if Floyd says OK to 50/50 Pac may not get much more than 40 million clear. So why not cut out the middle man and get paid. Anyone that does not see this either has never been their own boss or is used to being pimped .
        Excellent point.

I want this fight to happen so we don't have to read continuous babble about why the fight isn't happening. But since it never will I guess we gotta deal with the back and forth of it all. Chit done got old....

oh yeah he is you moron...if pac has to take $40 million, floyd will take home more than double of that. how is that not getting screwed for you? are you really that ******ed? it's simple mathematics.

What I meant was he got Manny to accept OST and negotiate a fight with him.
Since Floyd was jail-bound at the time, and Arum was already lining up JMM4 for May 5th.
Manny was also adamant to rematch JMM at the time due to his poor performance against him.

After Floyd got the sentenced pushed back and the clowning over twitter, Manny dropped the idea of JMM4 and started to negotiate with Floyd.

So Pac is supposed to pull a Gamboa? Or you expect Arum to step aside for this one, for the good of boxing?

this is why its hard to take anything that has to do with top rank serious in the article cgarcia posted it says that the fight with margarito did 1.5 mill but i have read articles that say the biggest ppv pacquiao has had is his recent fight against marquez so how is the marquez fight the biggest ppv yet that fighgt didn't do or exceed 1.5.
