this is why its hard to take anything that has to do with top rank serious in the article cgarcia posted it says that the fight with margarito did 1.5 mill but i have read articles that say the biggest ppv pacquiao has had is his recent fight against marquez so how is the marquez fight the biggest ppv yet that fighgt didn't do or exceed 1.5.

That might have been a typo, iirc, the Margarito fight made 1.15m? or was it 1.25m.
It was definitely not 1.5m, and if the author took it as the highest grossing PPV since ODLH vs Floyd, then he is an idiot.

"Because it's a prize fight," Koncz said. "If you were the better fighter, you get the 10% bonus, $15 million to $25 million more than the other guy. That was my final offer, with a $50-million guarantee to each fighter. That was ... rejected."

Koncz said the offer included Pacquiao's acceptance of blood testing up to one day before the fight, and that striking the 55-45 deal would provoke Pacquiao to accept a May 5 fight date.

If it's so simple then your dumb ass would understand it's relative to the net income of both fighters. Pac probably generates more revenue than Mayweather based on gate draw and PPV. However, in terms of net profit to the fighter, Pac will make be making triple his income with 40 million. You're actually playing the part of the moron by not realizing that if Arum negotiates for Pac, Pac will get less than was offered. I repeat, Floyd needs to stop the JMM4 from happening and do it as soon as the Cotto fight is over. Otherwise, I see no light at the end of the tunnel for this Pac/FMJ fight after the JMM4...

Realistically, JMM4 will be another blockbuster. Personally, I'm sick of the backward and survival fighting. I would love to see this fight if Pac changes his game plan by letting JMM come forward and not the other way around.

On the other side of the fence, Floyd vs Canelo would stink in the box office. GBP spent huge amounts of money promoting the Ortiz fight. It didn't do well as expected. I even remember hearing empty seats were still not being bought just a few days away from the fight.

What I meant was he got Manny to accept OST and negotiate a fight with him.
Since Floyd was jail-bound at the time, and Arum was already lining up JMM4 for May 5th.
Manny was also adamant to rematch JMM at the time due to his poor performance against him.

After Floyd got the sentenced pushed back and the clowning over twitter, Manny dropped the idea of JMM4 and started to negotiate with Floyd.
