"50/50 and you can have everything you want."
Unfortunately, the first half of that statement killed whatever the second half would have been.Comment

If rigidity relative to negotiation is an indicator of not wanting fight, considering manny's has adopted the same, you must reach the same conclusion about him wanting fight. I think both want to fight but both want to dictate terms. Since floyd is the slightly larger draw, and historically the larger draw, regardless of gap, sets the terms, IMO floyd should get to make terms.
Of course they should be reasonable. SInce manny has turned down both the fair and the unfair, they should be able to meet in the middle somewhere between $40 mil no ppv and 50/50.
I think manny can take less to make fight happen like floyd did ODH.
pac wants 50/50 which 99% of people think is fair.
floyd wants to fob him off with 40 dabs. if he isnt prepared to negotiate the financial side of it, how the hell can he want the fight?
you keep mentioning floyd de la hoya. floyd wasnt doing similar numbers to de la hoya.Comment

If I were his adviser, Pac should get more. He's the real superstar. Floyd has been in cloud nine riding in Pac's popularity ever since the potential fight started flying around. I cringe when I hear a defensive, unexciting boxer making these kinds of offers, to be honest.
I think whats telling is Bob and Manny willingness to accept 50/50. Bob has never done this in my lifetime watching boxing when his guy is the larger star. Manny almost pulled out of the Hatton fight until he got more.
I think they know the data and they know manny is entitled to less. How much, I don't know. But manny getting 50% is a gift for him, else Bob wouldn't so eagerly want it.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 04-26-2012, 02:54 PM.Comment

Manny, IMO, can give into floyd's every point if he wants to get into the ring with him, just like floyd did ODH.Comment
