Cuban trainers are sought all over the world. The best pro boxing schools of boxing is that of the U.S.A , Puerto Rico , and Panama . Puerto Rico and Panama due to their population are the top 2 in world champions per capita, and their boxers have accomplished great records. If Cuba wasn't communist they would dominated from heavy to flyweight their boxing is polished and tops. Mexican boxing just has a countless supply of boxers with a immense population they can do that. Btw, Gamboa has beaten around 8 Mexicans , and will continue to do so.

The population of Mexico is about 112 million. There are approximately 32 million Mexicans, or people of Mexican descent, living in the United States. The population of Cuba is about 11 million, with approximately 1.5 million Cubans, or people of Cuban descent, living in the U.S.

It stands to reason that huge populations with a specific interest in a particular sport would be successful in that sport. Now, how does one explain Cuba, Puerto Rico or Panama?

I'll give only two examples.

There are 6 Cubans fighting at 135. One of them, Richard Abril (who isn't even considered a top Cuban boxer), just beat Brandon Rios, a fighter of Mexican descent. Rios was considered perhaps the best lightweight below Juan Manuel Marquez, a Mexican. There are currently 357 Mexican lightweights.

There are 4 (four!) Cubans at 126. One of them, Yuriorkis Gamboa, is universally considered the top fighter at that weight. Wanna know how many Mexicans fight at featherweight? 241.

So, yeah, I would say your bolded statement is true.

Your original statement wasn't intended for me specifically; but if you make a blanket statement about Cubans, you're dragging all Cubans into it.
