Why dont more boxer use the leaping left hook?

It is a great punch if used correctly, impossible to time and very effective and powerful if placed right

Leaping punches are probably the easiest to time because they come from so far away and take so long to land.

Too easy to see and to counter Unless you're like Mayweather or Roy with crazy natural talent to do so. You have to get it out quick and recover even faster if you miss you'll get it like this...

its a hard punch to master imo youhave to know when to throw it and only a few fighters are good enough to get away with it

It leaves guys wide open and in bad position, if the other guy takes a step back and the hook falls short the guy throwing it is pretty much left holding his **** in his hand.

It is a risky move, it can work in small doses especially if sprung on someone but if it is used to often an opponent will be ready for it and take advantage.
