If you watch the On Freddie Roach mini-series earlier in the year, there were times that Roach was pissed at the Philippine media for making up quotes that he apparently didn't say. I didn't even know that Roach had that type of vocabulary (i.e. "rescinded unilaterally").

You beat me to the punch, no pun intended. I'm having a hard time thinking that these are Freddie's words and not some Pinoy beat writer conjuring up a little story to get on the front page of some local rag. I mean really, "anew, rescinded and unilaterally" lol! Damn, who knew that Freddie was taking night classes at UCLA Law School and will be sitting for the California Bar with an emphasis on Contract Law upon receiving his juris doctorate lol.

I think this is more between Roach and Ariza. If I recall Ariza does not have a separate contract with Pacquiao. Ariza gets paid by Roach from his cut. Roach also mentioned it was money that caused Ariza to leave. Regarding Khan, I think it's the same thing.

Whereas JCC I think have a separate contract with Ariza.

You guys are right, some of those words don't seem Freddie Roach like. A lot of those pinoy media are mad at Roach cause he doesn't let some of them inside so they will stretch stories and make them up for traffic.

It is out of character for Roach to attack Ariza like this, unless someone there made up a lie and told Roach that Ariza talked Shhit about him or something.

But the thing about contracts is legit, I think Roach outted himself there. Roach knows Chavez Jr pays Ariza more than Pacman and Khan does, he probably pays Ariza as much as Khan and Pacman pay Ariza combined.

Ariza doesn't make much money at all compared to Roach, Roach makes like 1.5 million when Pac fights or something high like that, while Ariza probably gets 30 grand per fight.

Roach is the biggest hypocrite there is. Is he forgetting when he left Pac to go train Oscar? That was also because of money and Pac was upset at him for a long time.

I recall the Roach as being very greedy about money. When he had made himself indispensible to MannyP and they were signing a term contract, he insisted on "at least"' 10%. Said "I won't take a cent less". The trainers fees of top boxers who make millions per fight, are normally negotiated, and can be from 3% up. Pacquiao has made him a hefty multi-millionaire and he can be expected to still have it all, plus interest from investment. Wealthier than many top fighters. He seems to be careful with it too.
