Bro., Tito got caught with illegal hand wraps before the Hopkins fight and subsequently got knocked out afterwards. After he got caught cheating, he never won a meaningful fight. It's a fact. Look it up... Also, Tito says Cotto's run at 154 has been weak (which is true); the thing is, Trinidad's run at 160 was even weaker! Again, after he got caught cheating, he never won a meaningful fight. I keep repeating it because people quickly forget about it!!!

Trinidad was asked the question and is being truthful, not critical. His suggestions are worth following. Cotto's record at 154 IS poor. a crippled powder-puff puncher he could walk through but not put away, a semi-retired, washed-up smoker, aged 39, and a beaten-down, slow-as-molasses braveheart. Here I'M being truthful if critical, though I like all three.

To justify facing the #2 p4p fighter other than for box-office preference, he needs more. And to lavish praise on a boxer just because he's your countryman, and not for his prowess, is for children, not for grown-up real persons.

      Criticism is not condemnation....

Obvious thing here is Cotto will never outpoint Mayweather in a twelve round decision. Only realistic win for Cotto is a KO, (call it an upset win if you will).

First rounds will be crucial for Cotto. He needs to KO Mayweather within these rounds. Otherwise, it will even be more difficult to do it in the later rounds. He'll find himself chasing Mayweather, which is the last thing you do against a good counterpuncher, and with very little gas left. Unless, of course, he'll just be happy to survive.

No such thing as "hit and not get hit" for Floyd, btw. He does get hit. Cotto needs to pull off that upset early. No other choice.

Trinidad was out of peak condition, due to 9/11 and staying in New York to help with the rescue operations, instead of returning home to keep in training, like Hopkins did.

And I don't think he was "caught cheating" it was a non-penalty itrregularity, not permitted only in New York, permitted everywhere else. If it was an effective punching aid, a guy like Hopkins might have been doing the same thing everywhere except in New York. Trinidad's glove was already on because the commissioner was there, and Richardson was 20 minutes late. It was a purely psychological typical Hopkins team act.

It's been a very long time since it happened and I can't remember all the facts about this case; therefore, I won't argue with your statement. However, you still can't deny that after the Hopkins ordeal, Tito was never the same fighter (much like Margarito was never the same after Mosley). Which begs the question, 'How long has Tito/Margarito been getting away with this?' Also, this wasn't Tito's first fight in NY. It was simply his first fight facing a smart trainer like N. Richardson (who, ofcourse, we know caught Margarito, as well).

Right now guys aren't struggling to keep up with the pace, it's increasing the tempo that they struggle with.
Teaches me for not reading the article

I really not to start doing that more and not just going off the Title.

Can't be mad at Tito for giving his honest opinion. This is going to be a real test for Cotto.

"Cotto became a champion there, but it was against a boxer who wasn't the best quality. We know Yuri Foreman was not a solid champion, we already know he was injured in his knee"

QFT I don't know why people forget that and that his next two opponents were shot to **** this really is a step down fight for Mayweather but I guess he need a tune up
