He sure is, didn't you read?
If he fights for the titles, he gets 25% of the purse.
Last we heard, he was demanding 80% of the purse.
It's to his advantage financially to fight without the titles on the line.Comment

Yeah I read it and it says if the deal Arum and King will present goes through then there would still be a strong possibility that the belts won't be on the line. It doesn't say anything about Mayweather accepting the deal. He wants to win a title at 147 and that's why I said he will want to fight for the belts. If the fight goes down then I expect at least one belt on the line. If they go to a purse bid then Mayweather would get 25% but both he and Arum will not let that happen in my opinion. If it goes to a purse bid then I don't think there will be a fight. The belts were a big issue when the fight was first negotiated.Originally posted by Bozo_no_noHe sure is, didn't you read?

This is not so difficult to understand.
Mayweather isn't going to get the lion's share of the purse AND the titles on the line.
Judah, as the undisputed champion at 147, is entitled to the larger share of the purse.
If Floyd wants the big payday, he doesn't get a shot at the titles.
I'm sure he'd take the big money over the titles, because if he wins everyone will consider him the man at 147 anyway.Comment

Although Judah's the man at 147, there is no justification for him getting the lion's share of the purse. He's been fighting on undercards since he won the titles from Spinks and never made a million dollars in his entire career. How can someone who's been fighting for peanuts ask for the lion's share. That is totally ridiculous.Comment

What does this prove?
Mayweather was in talks before with Casamayor and Judah but he ended up taking Sharmba Mitchell.
I'll believe it when I see it.Comment

It seems like your delusional just like Floyd Mayweather.Originally posted by MerovingianAlthough Judah's the man at 147, there is no justification for him getting the lion's share of the purse. Floyd has Roy Jones Jr. syndrome. He thinks he's a big draw, but in actuallity he's NOT. Floyd has too big of an ego to fight a guy for 50/50 and bragging rights. He cares more about money then his actual legacy.
HBO is cradling Floyd's balls right now, so I doubt He'll take this fight when He can take on mediocre competition for 3.5M a fight.Comment

You're not following.
As the title holder, he's entitled to the larger purse agaisnt anyone who's challenging for his titles.
He won those titles legitimatly, and anyone who holds those major titles is entitled to the larger purse when defending them.
That is why there's talk of them not being on the line.
Love or hate Judah, but for him to put all of his belts on the line and get 20% of the purse is absurd.Comment
