    Judah-Mayweather update! (B-Talk)

    Judah-Mayweather update!
    By G. Leon
November 30, 2005 - Moments ago **********.com contacted Floyd Mayweather Jr's promoter Bob Arum to see how his meeting with Zab Judah's promoter Don King went. Arum stated, "I would say it was a very good meeting. As far as King and I are concerend we have come to an understanding that we're going to present to the fighters and work from there." Arum said he is optimistic both fighters will accept the offers and believes the deal should get done shortly. Arum will be meeting with Mayweather's advisor Al Haymon on Friday afternoon, while King plans a face to face sitdown with Judah in Florida. If a deal is struck there remains a strong possibility that the bout will not take place for Judah's WBC, WBA and IBF titles. Don King was unavailable for immediate comment. (10:18 PM EST)

Goddamn Judah's a *****, not wanting to put his titles on the line. ****'s sake, at least it sounds like this is finally going to happen.

the belts mean nothing, whoever wins is of course the undisputed welterweight champ with or without the belts.

Not risking the belts is the best way to secure a rematch and even more money and that is what I think Judah is planning, in case of a loss.

why not just stipulate it (a rematch, contingent on whoever wins) in the contract like don king would always do for tito or arum for dlh???!!!! the titles should be up for this - this is the ******EST *****e if they fight and its not for the titles. i wanna see floyd in there at 147 as the man - that way he don't fuqq up my boy cotto at 140.

If the belts are on the line, Mayweahter gets 25% of a 75 - 25 split.

Because he's demanding the lions share of the purse before they even sat down, Judah had said he's not going to take a tiny share of the purse AND put the titles on the line.

It's just a part of the ***** negotiating for money these two greedy egos have going.

All that matters is them fighting. Forget the belts.

understandable - you get more market value for floyd - just stipulate that if mayweather wins then theres an immediate rematch w/ a 50 - 50 purse share.
