If they keep putting up crap fights eventually people will get tired of them. I don't have a problem canceling them and getting Showtime if they start showing better fights then just stream HBO.

I think I worded that wrong. I meant to say if they go on with this Broner idea vs Clay/Sykes or Donaire vs Mathebula and keep that trend people will get fed up with them. But I can safely say they haven't put on anything spectacular this year, that's for sure.

Like DempseyRoll said they haven't accepted it. They also refused Rios-Abril cuz' it wasn't to their satisfactory. But, you mentioned Shobox....This Friday on Shobox Jermaine Taylor fights Caleb Truax, and Erislandy Lara fights Ronald Hears. That is being televised by Showtime.

How is Donaire-Mathebula or Broner vs Clay/Sykes worse than Moreno-De La Mora that is being televised this Saturday. Fights like Mares-Morel and Guerrero-Aydin shouldn't be headlining and televise card on a big time network. Those are solid opening bouts. But, as a main event? No. Showtime willing to televised Quillin vs Wright is pretty crappy. When Showtime refuses a Bute-Froch fight is pretty mind boggling.

When a lawyer of a promotional company is the one running the boxing on a network is a conflict of interest. That is a network that will meet it's demise pretty soon because of it.

The new guy as you called him who is running boxing for HBO, was the one who brought showtime boxing back to a respectable level after Jay Larkin F'd all up by giving contracts to fighters. That new guy is the one who set up the S6 tournament and the 118 4 man tournament as well. That new guy did more than HBO with a fraction of the budget. One thing is for sure HBO isn't doing what they did in the past and that is outbidding themselves. Not overpaying for fights.

guys it's not like this is his last fight of the year...I think donaire said he wanted to have 3 or 4 fights for 2012. so he can have this fight against mathebula for the IBF world title..and maybe 2 or one more fight before the year ends..possibly nishioka after mathebula and rigdoneaux or mares (assuming mares wins) for his last fight of the year. if donaire beats all those guys he'll have the wbo, ibf, wbc or wba..

And The Ring probably gonna keep him #4 p4p somehow. I mean, it's not like he's finishing these guys in great fashion either. People can knock on Martinez' competition lately but he's at least taking them out before the bout is over.

After they show the Peterson-Khan and Berto-Ortiz rematches. Im not gonna mention the BHop-Dawson cause Im not took siked about it to tell you the truth. Let's see which of the two networks pull ahead with the better shows.

It's been pretty terrible so far actually. It's been pretty much a Golden Boy, and Haymon showcases. For example look at this Friday Taylor-Traux and Lara-Hearns fight...Enjoy the night of fights.
