theres absolutely no reaosn to build up rigondeux vs. donaire. donaire is not a at a point in his career where he could afford build upsand rigo is never gonna be a big star. so that much is false. its clear that this is more a case of top rank not wanting donaire in the ring with rigo. and theres zero clamour to see either guy fight outside of hardcore fans truth be told.

Nobody said anything about Rigo needing to be a big star. People simply knowing who the hell he is would be a good start. In Donaire's point of view, there's not much difference between Mathebula and Rigo in terms of credit he'll get from the general public. At this moment, taking a fight with either is just another belt for his collection. Why take the harder fight?

That's how we get classics like Barrera vs Morales and Pacquiao vs Barrera., and that's the only way legends are born, not the bull**** pampering cherrypicking fashion show Arum is running.

I wish Bob had gotten Rigondeaux a better fight for the Pac card. Why couldn't he get Rigo a fight with Steve Molitor, an established Top SBW, who's promotoed by Top Rank??? That would have been a solid fight.

Donaire and Mathebula, though not a great fight and he's probably the weakest champion, is a lot better than Donaire-Mijares. I wouldn't have minded Donaire-Terrazas either. At least Terrazas beat Montiel.

why take the harder fight? because its the better fight mebbe??? either way, like i said, this is not an issue of building a fight up. its never gonna happen. donaire doeant want the fight and neither does the big wigs at top rank.

Seems like this new dude that came over to HBO is gonna be blowing their reputation if he allows this fight and the Broner one to happen. If HBO wanna screw up their image with ****ty fights let them. I'd gladly cancel them and go with Showtime, they even have ShoBox on Fridays. Then there's also CBS who has outdone HBO so far with just the Zab Judah event IMO.
