The ref split them apart so much hatton had to close the distance and gave Floyd too many times to time hatton coming in.

So, no change, Cortez helped Floyd too much so i dont count it as a win for Floyd. If either SRL or Duran got favouritism from the ref the context of the fight in history would be talked about differently. Cortez made a name for himself in that fight. Whereas for the SRL, Duran, Hagler and hearns fights it was the fighters, the ref is a bit player. I doubt you can name the ref who ref those fights.
What about the straight rights that was buckling Hatton? C'mon man you constantly make yourself look like an a$$ trying to put Floyd down. There was no decision, Floyd Ko'd his ass!

      Surely you mean Collazo?

Zab got a gift decision in the Mathysse fight and Collazo is far more accomplished than Mathysse.
Yea I meant Collazo, and I know its for to pick apart a fighters resume I'm just showing that Hatton's resume is just as shaky as Judah's but Judah is still going on right now and winning.

Don't pay attention to that guy, he takes shots at Floyd in topics that have nothing to do with him, and in about 95% of his posts.

It was all Joe Cortez that beat Hatton, even the check hook that sent Hatton flying into the ring post knocking him out. And it was Joe Cortez' and Floyd's elbows as to why Floyd was beating him 7-2/8-1 in rounds at the time of the knockout.

It's hard to listen to Hatton fans about anything Floyd related, because they still haven't moved on from him getting knocked out 4 1/2 years ago.

With that said, Hatton is better all-time than Zab Judah, unless Zab goes on a huge run now at JWW and beats some top people, which I doubt happens. Zab never beat a guy that could possibly be in the HOF, Hatton beat Tszyu who's in. Hatton only lost to the two best fighters of this era, nothing to be ashamed about.

Hatton would have TKO'd Judah from 2005-2007.

Zab's best wins are still probably Junior Witter, DeMarcus Corley, Cory Spinks, Lucas Matthysse (big time controversial), and Vernon Paris. He also beat Jose Santa Cruz and Jan Piet Bergman.

I'll take Hatton beating Kostya Tszyu, Carlos Maussa, Luis Collazo, Juan Urango, Jose Luis Castillo (though clearly way past it), Juan Lazcano, and Paulie Malignaggi over Judah's wins.
After reviewing this list of wins I have to retract my earlier statement that Judah had more good wins because I was wrong. However most of Hatton's wins were in England where he was an icon. He got very special treatment from the referee and the judges. He had his own personal referee in Micky Van.They let him hold and hit whenever he wanted to. They let him deliberately hit Tszyu in the nuts as hard as he could without even a warning. The refs let Hatton break the rules with immunity. In the Lazcano fight Ricky was badly hurt and the ref came up with some lame excuse to stop the action long enough for Ricky to recover. I still vote Judah as the better fighter.

I picked Judah to win a prime vs. prime fight by early KO however if he did not stop or ruin Hatton in the first six rounds then I think Hatton would win because he is game to the end and Judah is a front runner who fades badly after 5 or 6 rounds. I do think Matthysse clearly beat Judah. Hatton was more consistantly good than the off again on again Judah but I still pick Judah by a hair. When he was good he was very good and better than Hatton in my opinion. Hatton only lost to Floyd and Pac but they both beat him so easily. I think he lost to Collazo and would have lost to Lazcano on neutral ground.I really don't like either of them that much compared to the better champions.

Hatton ranks higher. And he would beat the **** out of Judah as well. Judah would probably quit again.

Both are highly overrated fighters, and don't really rank anywhere significant. Hattons best win is Collazo ffs.

What part of Cortez helped Floyd dont you understand? Of course Floyd is going to be able to do as he pleases if Cortez wont let hatton do what he wants to do!
Floyd knocked his ass, cos Cortez wouldnt allow Hatton to ko Floyd. Floyd took less punishement than he should have thanks to Cortez.

When a fighter is shown favouritism you cant count the win, its void.
