Hatton knocked out Castillo in 4 rounds.

    Surely you mean Collazo?

Zab got a gift decision in the Mathysse fight and Collazo is far more accomplished than Mathysse.

Ricky Hatton.......He still beat KOstya Tszyu when Tszyu was #3 P4P and the #1 JWW in the world, and won a FOTY award in 2005. Ricky Hatton only lost to the 2 best fighters of this era, nothing to be ashamed about.

Mickey Ward was slightly above journeyman level

        Witter is worse than Malignaggi

Mathysse has never had a title and Zab got a gift decision against him anyway

The Tszyu win was by far better than Zabs win over Spinks

Zabs resume is shakier than Hattons and its not even debatable

this is not even close unless you go by "could have been" as the criteria.

          Hatton better career, better fighter.

Well, considering the ref helped Floyd a considerable amount before Floyd check hooked him i dont see your point. You are not original as you must be the millionth floyd fan who mentions floyd check hooking hatton into a ring post, yet i still dont understand the relevance of mentioning it?

The ref split them apart so much hatton had to close the distance and gave Floyd too many times to time hatton coming in.

So, no change, Cortez helped Floyd too much so i dont count it as a win for Floyd. If either SRL or Duran got favouritism from the ref the context of the fight in history would be talked about differently. Cortez made a name for himself in that fight. Whereas for the SRL, Duran, Hagler and hearns fights it was the fighters, the ref is a bit player. I doubt you can name the ref who ref those fights.

Anyone can play down anyone's resume.

Hatton's best wins - Tszyu, Collazo, Malignaggi, Castillo, Lazcano, Urango
Judah's best wins - Spinks, Corley, Matthysse, Millett, Urkal, Greene

It's Hatton ever so slightly. The Tszyu win is what does it.

Not absurd at all. Who did Judah beat? Chopchop is alright. Cory is good. Witter is good.
None of them are close to Kostya level though.

Not to mention Judah lost badly to all other elite fighters he fought.

h2h it's anyone guessing game i guess. But something tells me Judah wouldn't deal with the kind of pressure very well. Hatton is no joke.

Matthysse, really? I refuse to acknowledge that as a win for him.

Zab never beat a guy that could potentially be on the HOF. Hatton beat Tszyu, who's in the HOF, and though Tszyu wasn't quite "prime" when Hatton beat him, he was still good and was suppose to beat Hatton.

Zab's best wins are still probably Junior Witter, DeMarcus Corley, Cory Spinks, Lucas Matthysse (big time controversial), and Vernon Paris. He also beat Jose Santa Cruz and Jan Piet Bergman.

I'll take Hatton beating Kostya Tszyu, Carlos Maussa, Luis Collazo, Juan Urango, Jose Luis Castillo (though clearly way past it), Juan Lazcano, and Paulie Malignaggi over Judah's wins.

... am i the only one that remembers that hatton / tzuyu fight as a foul-laden hug fest (most all perpetuated by hatton) that basically was everything except boxing? i'm thinking carlos molina here.
