Mayweather will fight him. He notices the flaws like I and a lot of boxing fans see in Sergio. I also think that Sergio is slipping a bit in terms of reflexes and explosiveness. Floyd hasn't seemed to.

At 154, I think it would be a clear non-controversial UD for Mayweather. Duck that straight left, and roll the right hook all night.

It would be a typical Mayweather move, and consistent with his reputation for not fighting the biggest threats or seeking the biggest challenges since he moved to 140 after Castillo gave him hell at 135. We can add Martinez at 154 to a list of top fighters he didn't try to fight when he was in the same division as them, Tszyu, Hatton at 140, Cotto, Margarito, Pacquiao at 147.

As long as it's not a Calzaghe move (waiting til the end of your career to fight anyone worth a damn) it's all good.

Agreeing to fight and actually looking good during and after the fight are two different things.

Neither of which apply to Mayweather or Pacquiao at this point since neither have officially agreed to fight Martinez or Chavez.

All I'm saying is that the day Mayweather decides to fight either Martinez or Chavez, Jr and wins he takes charge of the P4P title big time.

There are many fights in the welterweight division that could change things in the next months. Those must past in order to re-evaluate things.

As a boxing fan, it's somewhat exciting to say the least.
