i dunno why ppl want him to move up. 130 as it stands rite now is a better division than 135 as it will stand in the near future.
So, whens Broner gonna move up

The sport is in trouble because all fighters do this, not just Broner. The sport is in trouble because envious "fans" look at pictures and judge size based on that. I seen Broner fight, once. What i saw was VERY impressive. Oh and btw the sport is in trouble because really good fighters like Broner will struggle to get hype job types like Canelo and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. inside rings of boxing. And that's the main reason boxing is really losing the marathon to MMA. In MMA if you are good you get to establish your legacy as the best. Period. In boxing, if you are decent they will look at you as a product and whoever is the most popular to the most amount of people gets to the hall of fame at the very least. No individual boxer is to blame here. The mob, the promoters are mainly to blame.Comment

The guy has only won one "belt", maybe he should fight all the champs or atleast build his name and rep before moving up. He hasn't fought that long, he should fight Gamboa before moving up.Comment

I agree with with everything you said.I also like to see fighters clean out one division rather than move up and win tittles at higher weights by picking weak belt holders. Archie Moore, Bob Foster, Hagler, Monzon, and Aaron Pryor are all rated as all time greats and they were only champions of one weight class. Some weight divisions are only 3 to 5 lbs up from the one below. Some guys grow bigger naturally as they get older so they should move up if making weight weakens them. Other fighters stop growing at a young age. I never got heavier after age 18."If you're taller than your competition, move up in weight" isn't a smart business model.
leave a division when your body tells you to leave or when the amount of money to be earned is to enticing to pass up. otherwise, dominate one division while perfecting your craft and then move up and dominate the next.
cleaning out divisions is what i want to see. not ill-conceived concepts of fairness. the height differences between pac-margarito, floyd-corralles, tommy hearns-many of his opponents at welterweight, klits-many of their opponents were less than "fair" by your accounts. skill combined with a gameplan that maximizes your abilities while playing off their weaknesses can overcome that.Comment

who cares if he can make the weight how big he looks? give him time, in 3-4 years he will be top 3 pound for pound. a lot of people don't like to give him props because he is a floyd copy and does gay **** like get his dad to comb his hair, but his skill is undeniable and once he is fully developed, good luck beating him.Comment
