Save that for Rios...he's a coward that's killing himself to make 135 instead of fighting at 140 or 147 where he belongs.

At least Broner is making weight..

If he can still make the weight, why should he move up?

He still has some guys to fight there. I'll skip on the Japanese dudes who don't fight outside of Japan. But there's Salgado, Martinez, Mendez and Burgos. I'd prefer the Salgado fight over the rest. I'd also like to see Broner vs Uchiyama or Ao since they have titles, but they just don't leave Japan so those fights can't happen.

"If you're taller than your competition, move up in weight" isn't a smart business model.

leave a division when your body tells you to leave or when the amount of money to be earned is to enticing to pass up. otherwise, dominate one division while perfecting your craft and then move up and dominate the next.

cleaning out divisions is what i want to see. not ill-conceived concepts of fairness. the height differences between pac-margarito, floyd-corralles, tommy hearns-many of his opponents at welterweight, klits-many of their opponents were less than "fair" by your accounts. skill combined with a gameplan that maximizes your abilities while playing off their weaknesses can overcome that.

Exactly ! Good Post! Content to stay in a weight class because it's weak and you can dominate instead of moving up and making better fights. The fact that people are willing to accept that is ridiculous.

Broner is overrated and will eventually be exposed! He's a wanna be Mayweather!

I say he'll move up the 2nd half of 2013. He makes 130 just fine, and if he moved up now, people would just say he's avoiding so and so or some s**t.

Uchiyama, Magdaleno, and Martinez are pretty impossible fights to make for Broner at 130. 2 of those guys are Top Rank and will be saved for Mikey Garcia once he moves up most likely, and the other only fights in Japan, and has no reason to want to come to America.

I would like to see Broner fight Mendez, Escobedo, Burgos, Salgado, and a Ponce De Leon rematch before leaving 130 though. Then, move up and fight guys like Burns, Lundy, DeMarco, etc.

I could care less how big he is. As long as he weighs in without problems then more power to him
