We all know that Canelo was the original Cinco de Mayo plan. Cotto came into the picture unexpectedly. Floyd's circle of a55kissers told him this is his chance to get back at Arum -- steal Cotto away from him. Turns out that Cotto/Pac 2 could not have happened anyway. This Cotto fight is a cherrypick gone wrong for some people. Floyd didn't intend to pick Cotto. I could imagine how GBP fought tooth and nail for Canelo for the May 5th event. Hoya's uncharacteristic silence was defeaning after the Cotto pick.

We also know that Mayweather vs Martinez will never happen. Not in your wildest dreams. People are just looking forward to Floyd's new, innovative excuses not to fight Sergio.

I'd love to see Alvarez-Ortiz! That would be a brawl of two young Mexicans in their prime. I don't think Canelo is ready for Floyd yet and Floyd should fight Manny first anyway.
