How much more money than the Paul Williams rematch you think he will get vs Chavez? He got 1.5m or so for that rematch.

A Chavez Jr. fight would most likely be on PPV. Chavez has fought on PPV in the past and I dont see Arum taking the risk for a fight on HBO Championship Boxing. I just dont see that happening. With what Martinez' recent run he would be an easy fighter to promote.

If he wants a personal challenge...Sergio should call Ward out at a catchweight...or the winner of Bute/Froch at a catch...

No way in hell Floyd fights Martinez at 160. If that fight was made it would either be 154 or 150.

If that's the case, then Mayweather would gain more from beating Sergio @ Middleweight for the WBC belt (provided Serg can beat Chavez Jr of course)

and if Mayweather wants to go for records, taking a fight @ MW and winning a belt would be a pretty huge accomplishment



no doubt, Floyd vs Martinez for the WBC MW title would be a huge bout.

ny123 ^ this is why Floyd would take the fight at 160 if Martinez was to beat Chavez. It's the point Im trying to make, Floyd most likely wants his legacy to be better than Pac's and I feel like he's trying to compete. Since they are always talking about Pac's titles in all these divisions Floyd would most likely go for the WBC belt at 160. If he captured that belt + retiring undefeated... think about it?
