Floyd has set a bad example of focusing too much on the zero. The quantity and quality are lacking. That's why I'll never compare him to SRL. It's apples and bananas just by being reminded of SRL vs Hearns. Many boxers normally duck big fighters. Here's not only a midget but an amateurish one, according to his fans, who will always be remembered as the guy whom Floyd avoided by dumping tons of roadblocks in it. You can argue all you want till you're blue in the face, but that's fact now.
Will Floyd ever reach his full potential or will that zero hold him back?

I love how solid threats get deleted at times, and this s**t stays up.
The same people saying he doesn't take risks anymore, are the same people that would have praised certain fighters they like for fighting Mosley and Ortiz, 2 good fights at the time. They are the same people that would praise a guy they like for fighting Cotto at 154 lbs now when he's still good. They are the same people that would have praised him for fighting Hatton when he did, or going up in weight to fight Oscar. Or dominating Marquez at a weight he arguably just beat Pac at.
Boxing fans have the biggest double standards, and it's sickening to see it.
HUGH GRANT, who's a big Manny Pacquiao fan, is always saying Floyd avoided this guy or that guy. What about the fighter he likes???
Manny Pacquiao didn't fight Guzman, Soto, Raheem, Casamayor, Berto, and hasn't fought Floyd yet??? I usually don't mention them not fighting each other, because it's useless and at this point both have been responsible for that fight not coming off yet.
You can't s**t on one guy for something, but then refuse to s**t on the other guy who had similar stuff happen in his career.
You r not doing Floyd any favours by not allowing him to take challenges......serious challenges.
You shouldnt consider SSM just cos he beat margarito a serious challenge, as SSM lost 5 times already in his prime. JMM shouldnt be considered a serious challenge as well. Will Floyd take a challenge where he is not expected to win?
Floyd should have the attitude with "are you nuts, you think this guy can beat me, well get him in the ring with me and i'll prove you wrong" type attitude. Weve established Floyd did it when he was coming up and a nobody trying to make a name for himself. But now Floyd is the name he has yet to overcome adversity.Comment

You coming off as a real hardcore Floyd fanatic here, i didnt even mention Pac. Im referring to whether Floyds zero will stopp him achieving his latent potential and you talk about Pac as Floyd fanatics usually do. Pac is the favourite topic of conversation for Floyd fanatics.

And all I said about JMM was that Floyd should get his props for dominating him at a weight that an even older JMM arguably just Pac at.
You can't s**t on one guy for one thing, but then turn a blind eye when they guy you like has similar instances during his career man. NO ONE WILL EVER TAKE YOU SERIOUS IF THAT'S HOW YOU DO THINGS, AND INSTEAD YOU WILL BE LOOKED AT AS A NON-OBJECTIVE PERSON.
There isn't a fight out there where Floyd isn't expected to win, except maybe Sergio Martinez at 160, that's it. So I guess he should only fight Sergio at 160, or he's ducking, at least according to you. And again, you say Floyd should fight Sergio, but fail to mention your guy said he would fight him at 150, but then turned around and said no only at 147.
Objectivity, learn it. I'm smart enough to see teh greatness in Floyd and in Manny, they are both ATG's. I'm sorry you can't.
I'd love for Floyd to beat Cotto to win the WBA title, and than Alvarez in December, if Canelo beats a Top SWW in september first (Cotto-Molina-Lara-Kirkland). Than, I'd love for him to fight Pacquiao, Sergio, Khan, etc.
But to say it's all Floyd for Manny-Floyd not coming off, is just a bias statement. Manny was at fault for 2 years for straight up refusing to be drug tested until fight day. Floyd is at fault for backing off on the 50/50 agreement they made back in 2010. And Manny is dumb for saying he'd take a lesser split. THEY ARE BOTH AT FAULT FOR THAT.
And the only reason I brought up your stance on Manny Pacquiao, is to get your credibility as a poster out in the open. Everyone and their brother knows you trash Floyd for something, but turn a blind eye when Manny does the same or similar thing.Last edited by 4Corners; 04-11-2012, 05:07 PM.Comment

So wait.......Mosley after beating Margarito, and being the top ranked WW wasn't a challenge??? Had Pac fought him when Floyd did, you'd praise it.

SSM was the WW champ so of course Floyd has to fight him without any special bravery medals if Floyd is a WW. But SSM lost 5 times so wasnt going to be favourite against Floyd. SSM was expected to test FLoyd of course, cos Floyd isnt seen as some kind of superman.
If you arent going to answer my questions, dont reply back to me. There is nothing wrong with this thread, its not a troll thread, your troll radar is off course.
Floyds isnt expected to win against Pac. He is seen as favourite against Pac by many, but the fact that it is a competive fight that anything could potentially happen that is what makes it intriguing.
If floyd was expected to blow Pac away then the interest in the fight wouldnt be what it is. Pacs the best fighter Floyd would have fought anyway so its going in the right direction for Floyd for sure.Last edited by hugh grant; 04-11-2012, 05:12 PM.Comment

My original thread was only trying to make Floyd be the best he can be, yet you come across so defensive.

Using your logic, Floyd shouldn't fight Manny Pacquiao because he'd be the unanimous favorite going in. You said "When is Floyd going to fight someone he isn't expected to beat???".
He should and hopefully will fight Sergio at 154-160, Manny, Khan, Alvarez, etc.
If you just admit you're not objective, people would repsect you more.
But what should I expect from a guy that Red K's someone in revenge because I said you take swipes at Floyd in almost every single post you make on here. It's a b*tch move.Last edited by 4Corners; 04-11-2012, 05:14 PM.Comment

Floyd could move up to a weight and fight someone like Sergio at 160 or Ward even who hes not suppposed to beat, and if he loses it wont harm him as hes supposed to lose. But does the zero mean so much to him, he dont want to lose under any circumstances?
If the later, it means there are people he could potentially beat, but he wont risk it as it might mean he loses the zero. He could beat Sergio at 160 and Ward for all we know. If he dont try he wont be reaching his fullest potential.
all u sensitive butt hurt floydmos who hit reply before finishing the first sentence save it bro. its my opinion.Comment

And that's like me saying "Well Pac can't handle an older JMM at 144, and can't beat a good counter puncher to save his momma's life", so Floyd should automatically be the favorite........that'd be an ignorant statement going off common opponents.
Floyd is the favorite to beat Manny, so using your logic that you posted before, he shouldn't fight him.
Floyd is going to be favorite against anyone from 140-154, that's just how it is.
It comes down to being objective, and you can't do that, never have and never will.Comment
