I love those guys that are making some kind of fetish about the super six.

I understood Ward's position after the fight against Froch but if he has a real possibility to fight Bute in the near future and he doesn't do it then you can say he is ducking.

I'm curious what he has to say after Bute KO's Froch in his own backyard.

I doubt whoever he fights will be better than Bute, stop with the lame excuses please....
They won't be, but lets give him a chance to test the hand first. If it doesn't happen by his 3rd come back fight from the hand and both are still winning I'll jump right on the "he's ducking Bute" wagon if circumstances permit.

To be honest, I don't think Bute has won a shot at Ward right off the bat. I agree with Ward on that sense. These guys have been fighting each other for years, and Bute just sits back, fighting nobodies and expects the winner? On what grounds? Seriously. Maybe I'm being too pro-Andre and even though Bute is the best out there for him to fight, it shouldn't be that easy. Give it another fight or two, then we can start discussing if it's ducking or not.

If Bute beats Froch, which I expect him to, there is no doubt he deserves a fight with Ward. But I agree its premature to say Ward is ducking him. There is a lot more to boxing politics than "just make the fight".

Just saw my first Bute fight and was not impressed at all! From what I saw Froch might beat him and that means Ward dominates him! Lets face it, alot of the chapions overseas don't match up against our American Champs! Except the Klichklos!

Bute can fight. He's got power, speed and skills.

It's a fight that should happen though. It's a fight that has to happen IMO before anyone moves to another division.

It is the best and more importantly more meaningful fight that can be made at 168 right now. Don't even come at me with that flake Andre Dirrell. He had his chance at glory. He got the opportunity that Bute didn't. And, Dirrell didn't go for it. Let him earn it and fight the likes of Bika.

Ward-Bute is the fight. And, there really isn't anything as of now that is preventing that fight to be made either.
Its called money! Only die hard boxing fans in the U. S know who Andre Ward is! So Andre has to build his fanbase so he can get what he's owed at the negotiation table! Yall forget its a business. U have to be more than champion to reap all the benefits in boxing!

Promotions, tv networks, boxing associations... all standing in the way of potential fights. That's what's wrong with boxing, first and foremost.

There are still 1 or 2 good fights to be made at 168: Bute, winner of Stieglitz-Groves to unify (although they will probably face Arthur Abraham first), Andre Dirrell (won't happen as they don't want to fight each other), the younger Dirrell-brother
But apart from that, the division is already beaten by Ward and the remainders are weak.
So 175 would be a great step up, marketing-wise, to get him in the Dawson-Hopkins-Pascal mix.

I understand what your saying, it's reminiscent of Mosely saying his tooth hurt and he wanted to take a vacation instead laying it on the line and calling out Mayweather after he KO'd Vargas. Regardless Ward needed time to let his hand heal but he could have at least said something along the lines of Madison Square Garden "I want Bute next" I mean Bute was sitting right there in the Arena as was Kessler.

Ward should go where the most money is. He's earned it.
