Plenty of fighters have tough runs. It just comes off as a weak excuse. If he was as assured as you seem to be of defeating Bute, why would he need a "break" to fight him?

I'd be more interested in seeing Dawson vs Campillo or Syllakh. ward can wait a year or two before going to LHW.

Balzsay has the WBA Interm belt but Kashtanov was robbed in that fight. Either of them would be very credible but don't see him taking those fights. although i m pretty sure Kashtanov is trained by Roach so maybe he has some American profile.

Ward just "stepped into" a fight with Kessler in his hometown after fighting weak comp. Its got nothing really to do with that. Ward-Bute is the best fight at super middleweight right now, I honestly dont care who Bute has fought in the past and neither should any real boxing fan.

Good fight for hardcore fans, but I'd be shocked if HBO or Showtime bought them. Bute, Froch, Kessler, Dirrells, and Pavlik are the biggest names at 168 and Ward convincingly beat two of them, seems uninterested in fighting Andre or Anthony Dirrell, Bute is tied up, and no way is Arum letting Pavlik near Ward. I think he might be forced into LHW for a big name opponent that is satisfactory for HBO.

The Ward-Bute fight will happen. Can't blame Ward at this point. He was tied into the super 6 and than broke his hand. It will happen within a year or so...I'd bet on it.
