I think it'd be one thing if he had already fought at 168, but he hasn't and seems too small imo.
Small? how tall do u think Roy jones jr. is? mike tyson? Tavoris Cloud? jean pascal? joe calzaghe?? guess what? theres only an inch of difference between them all
And those are not even SMW Those are LHW and HW...

Sergio's all time legacy is hanging in the balance of Lou. 1) Beat Mayweather or Pac and achieve instant gratification with money to boot. The only problem is he's playing the waiting game and father time will eventually catch him. What about other options? 2) Unify titles @ 160 against the likes of Chavez, Geale, Pirog or Sturm instead of fighting the Dzinzuriks, Barkers, Macklins or other second tier middleweights. That would surely solidify Sergio as one of the better middles in recent history. 3) Truly challenge himself and give up all the height/reach advantages he would enjoy against Mayweather, Pac or other top Jr Middles and go after the heavy hitters of 168. Beating a Ward, Bute, Froch, Kessler would boost his legacy tremendously. Taking out 2 or 3 would make him one of the best middleweights between 154-168 period.

Sergio's ultra talented for a reason, gimme Chavez, Pirog/Geale winner, Bute/Froch winner than Ward and he would retire a legend!

While you're at it, mention Tyson. Because height is exactly what we're talking about. Because height determines weight class.

Poster above me has it right. Martinez can do better at 160 and there is only one fight that makes sense at a higher weight class and that is the winner of Bute-Ward. Zero reward in going up right now when that weight is still disputed. They could fight it out at 165 in that event. But I disagree with Macklin being called second rate. Some people like Macklin over most of the names you mentioned.

Celestino Caballero is 5'11 fighting at FW... Mike Tyson is 5'11 fighting at HW. Height doesnt determine class BUT weight, thats why they weigh in before the fights u dont see them measuring how tall they r or how long they have it.... you fight at a class your body feels comfortable at. Enough teaching for the day im out

Pact@rds say Floyds scared of everybody they are scared. They did the same thing with Mosley when Manny was clearly ducking him. They did it with Ortiz, although Manny never ducked Ortiz, Pact@rds saw Ortiz as a potential threat. Now their doing it with Martinez. Theyve been doing this for years. This is their MO.

You want Martinez to look like Rios when he fought Murray trying to fight Pacquiao?

Are you talking about? Height determines weight or weight classes now? Are you fkin kidding me? You know different bodies take on weight differently right? Faster metabolism, slower metabolism, bone mass, etc. Some people just can't gain weight such as myself. Donaire says he got the same problem.

I didn't realise height was the only factor when judging size.

                  Interesting.

Sergio should beat the Chavez-Lee winner for the WBC title. Than, if he's not going to get the Floyd fight for the first half of 2013, fight the Pirog-Geale winner in a big unification at 160. Than, pursue the Floyd fight some more, or fight other MW's like Quillin, Golovkin, Murray, and clean out the division.

Martinez is a small mw, he'd be smaller than arthur abraham at smw. Ward should move down to 160 or 164 to fight Martinez
