I think Gary Russel will turn some heads. Maybe he'll be a welterweight in the next 6 or 7 years. Same with Broner.

I also think Donaire has the skills and personality to make moves and he has at least 5-6 years left in the sport.

Benavidez will be great but he turned pro in the 10s

I don't see a world class superstar from any of the current crop, Ward looks like the real deal and Broner too. But I don't see Mayweather/Jones type talent there.
There is a lot more talent that you have not mentioned on the 00-10 debut list. There are a lot of talented fighters out there.

You forgot Dirrell, Rigondeaux, Sillakh, Pirog, Proksa and Kamegai. All very talented.

Agreed. I like Matt Korobov as well.

Cotto's had the best career out of those to date.

But it will end up being Andre Ward, no question. Donaire will be a close second.

                    Ward.

Done so much within the space of 6 years. On top of that, he was out for a year with an injury. Therefore, I should correct myself really and say 5 years. 5 years, with a resume like that. Nice work!

Cotto, easily is the most accomplished and fought the better fighters by FAR.

Gamboa - Donaire - Ward are all in the same spot for me. As in...they could do better.
