Quite a worrying list when you remember 1990s all these debuted-
        Mayweather
        Pacquiao
        De La Hoya
        Trinidad
        Wlad
        Vitali
        Marquez
        Calzaghe
        Martinez
        Winky
        Mosley
        Vargas
        Tarver

        etc!

        This era is soft

That's a bad way of looking at it. The fighters from the 90s have either peaked or are peaking now. Look at some of the youngsters on your 00 list, they'll peak in the next decade.

Fair enough but countless other greats debuted 1 or 2 years prior to 1990 like Jones, Hopkins, Toney and all fought and bossed the era.

I don't see a world class superstar from any of the current crop, Ward looks like the real deal and Broner too. But I don't see Mayweather/Jones type talent there.

I dont think its so much that this era is soft. Moreso the industry is so profit driven that networks and promoters stick with safer investments and refuse to let the new guys make their mark.

Sticking with safer is pretty much what soft is.
