Lmao, Primes? Both Floyd and Manny are well into their mid 30's now. Yes sure they are still in good shape physically, but the word "prime" and Floyd or Manny nor else anyone over the age of 33 years old should not go together in the same sentence...

I think we can all agree that Floyd is closer to his physical prime than Manny is. Who's known for taking punishment in almost every one of his fights? Which guy stays near fighting shape/weight consistently? Which guy doesn't fight on a consistent basis, therefore not taking any punishment?

This process benefits Floyd more than it benefits Pac. Pac is past-prime now, and after he fights Floyd, people are gonna say he's shot. If Uncle Bob was intelligent, he would get Pac in there because it doesn't look like Floyd is fading. Pac is only getting worse.

Nothing has changed from 3-4 years ago. Manny has waited and waited for Floyd. He's always agreed to terms. Now Floyd thinks Manny has had too many wars, has moved beyond his peak, so Floyd thinks Manny is vulnerable. That's the coward in Mayweather. He's never wanted Manny in his prime. That's why it took Mosley and Cotto 10 years to get a fight with Floyd. He only fights guys smaller, older, one dimensional, or past their prime. Manny has fought everyone; he doesn't need Floyd.

Why is this even news? Everyone knows that Floyd isn't fighting again this year after Cotto.

It is very likely that he fights once again next year. And, by that time Canelo might be a bigger star. So that could be the lone fight next year.

I don't see Pac or Martinez being realistic for Floyd until 2014. If they're still on top by then.

Floyd will most likely fight twice next year, Canelo and Martinez (assuming he doesn't lose within that time) in that order. This is if the Pac fight doesn't happen of course.
