Alvarez can't stop a small UK level fighter, and what's more Hatton troubled him more than a few times.

If you think this lowly of Hatton then you must also not think that much of Canelo.

Brook KOed Rafal Jackiewicz, who had never been stopped before and was ranked 7/8 at welterweight.

He also had beaten Zaveck, Brook totally outclassed him.

so all we've established is that brook does well against euro level opposition and matthew hatton. thats nice, but once again what was ur point in dissecting bertos and ortiz's resumes when they are still better than anything brook has done by far?

hatton took zero risks against canelo

he opened up against brook and brook was able to take advantage of the speed advantage

styles make fights. hatton shelled up and ducked against canelo. his gloves hardly left his face.

if you think brook's a better puncher than canelo by virtue of the damage he did to hatton you are sorely mistaken

it's amazing what the reactions on the bscene look sometimes after fights. brook whitewashes mathew hatton and all of a sudden he's ready for the big time..

          WW is an odd division

the two top dogs are all but untouchable. dont call them. they call you.

outside of those two you have some parody

i dont think brook is ready for ortiz, berto, alexander, bradley (he'll probably stay a WW after he fights pacquiao,)

now, who is he ready for?
he's a solid fighter. mike jones, shane mosley, guerrero if he stays a WW, aydin if he beats guerrro, malinaggi,

i also think he'd be a good fight for another european up and comer with some real talent if there are any out there on the horizon right now. brook is not a prospect at this stage. he's a contender for a world title. but has he ever fought a prospect // up and comer?

i dont understand it either, i mean i think brook has talent as well, but hes done nothing to be considered this killer who beats guys like berto and ortiz. thats not even realistic at this point.

So what is Berto's best win again?

Maybe he will do more than just sit on the ropes for most the fight and get pounded on this time round against Ortiz, and give Ortiz a beating he doesn't deserve.

Victor won't mind though and will be smiling and hugging and kissing Berto after the fight (well at least it will be after).

If a fight happened between Ortiz/Berto vs Brook this year my money is definitely on Brook.

Nothing do with the Hatton fight, Brook impressed me much more in his performance against Jackiewicz.

Brook can mix it with anyone from the 2nd tier and I would make him favourite against them apart from Bradley.

You were more impressed by Brook beating on a punching bag than you were when he took on a legitimate challenge?

Jackiewicz was ranked 7th I think by Ring Magazine when they fought, and had beating Zaveck.

Brook just made him look like a punch bag.
