I would favour against those two, they are tough fights for him. Would like him face the winner of that fight, maybe not in his next fight but in the fight after that.

Id like to see him take on someone like Zaveck or Senchenko (seems like that wo'nt be the case with his upcoming fight).
That would be a good fight him, then maybe onto someone like Jones or Alexander in America. If hes successful there then the Berto's and Ortiz's can come into play.

I really rate Brook, but think he needs a few more fights with decent guys like Zaveck, Mallignaggi even, before taking the next 'big' step up.

Zaveck is logical for geography reasons but he's got to much of a chance so they'll put another average guy in the ring with him and say no wants to fight

Based on what, beating Matthew Hatton?

People are getting too hyped about Brook.

Forget how many fights this guy has had, he's only just beaten Matthew Hatton. He needs a few fights against good competition before taking on an Ortiz or Berto.
he's basically where khan and berto were before they fought for a title...in fact his resume right now is better than khan's was before he fought kotelnik

there's a difference between him being brought up the right way and him being protected...he's ranked in the top 10 on any credible list so that's the level of opposition he should be eyeing

zaveck would be the best test and the most realistic fight that can be made for that date

No, I and others have tipped Brook for big things long before he beat Mathew Hatton.

And Berto's best win was against who?

              Zaveck? Collazo?

And they were not great performance?

As for Ortiz, his best win was against Berto, which as stated above does not have the best resume.

Berto went from Rodriguez to Forbes then Collazo etc, he wasn't thrown in with a top contender straight away. Albeit, Khan's resume and prior experience wasn't great when he fought Kotelnik. Who were the other belt holders at 140 when Khan beat Kotelnik?

                    Saul Alvarez might disagree.

Or maybe Canelo is vastly overrated.
