put aside the hate for bob arum for second. This suspension is absolutely ridiculous. The guy was just KO'd, said some whacky shit on camera when his brain was probably still scrambled, he since apologized multiple times. Not fighting again till Sept 2013 is 100% absurd.

Doesn't matter if it's bob arum complaining or anyone else. Fact is, this is terrible. Guys can beat their wives, get arrested, drunk driving, fail drug tests, etc etc etc and they rarely ever get 1 year suspensions. I don't put too much stock in what guys say in post-fight interviews. Hell, Mike Tyson once said his back was broken. People say some weird & whacky stuff all the time.

First off I don't buy the "His brain was scrambled" theory. He sounded clear to me and knew what he was saying.

I think people need to look at the seriousness of the allegations of what he said. Boxing is a sport that involves a lot of ********, there's a ton of money to be made in Vegas because of boxing.

I think if JuanMa talks about the ref doing a **** job, he wouldn't have been fined but the second he called him a ******** cheater and then condemned the commission, he sealed his fate.

You don't bite the hand that feeds you and you don't allege things like that without proof. JuanMa really messed up in this case. Some might see it as too harsh but in reality I wasn't surprised because he attacked the integrity of the commission and the people involved. They won't let you get away with that.
