Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is standing with his fighter Juan Manuel Lopez in reaction to a one year ban handed down Tuesday morning by the boxing commission in Puerto Rico. Lopez was given a one year ban for his comments about referee Robert Ramirez Sr., which followed the Puerto Rican boxer's ten round TKO loss to Orlando Salido on March 10th in San Juan.

put aside the hate for bob arum for second. This suspension is absolutely ridiculous. The guy was just KO'd, said some whacky shit on camera when his brain was probably still scrambled, he since apologized multiple times. Not fighting again till Sept 2013 is 100% absurd.

Doesn't matter if it's bob arum complaining or anyone else. Fact is, this is terrible. Guys can beat their wives, get arrested, drunk driving, fail drug tests, etc etc etc and they rarely ever get 1 year suspensions. I don't put too much stock in what guys say in post-fight interviews. Hell, Mike Tyson once said his back was broken. People say some weird & whacky stuff all the time.

Wh at I think now. I was SMH hard at him after the fight.... but he has gone on to apologize numerous times, held a conference like the guy asked and so on.

Even tho Juanma is alil b*tch, he shouldn't of got a 1 year suspension. He probably went into the ring with that excuse in the back of his mind in case he get KTFO again because the last thing you want to is get KTFO in your backyard.
