I see Chavez winning this fight, and winning by KO.
Andy Lee is a nice Irish kid, but he's overrated. He'll get KO'd.

As far as Martinez goes, I've been saying this for a long time. Martinez will never get a major fight, because he is with the wrong promoter.
He should have never resigned with Lou. Had he been with TR, or GB not only would he have had a major fight by now, he would never have been stripped of his titles.

Lee is going to have to KO Jr. No way those corrupt officials in Texas let that kid walk outta there with a decision. Lee is a big MoFo in his own right, hope he beats this Fraud.

Disagree. Nobody, GBP or Top Rank would have gotten him a big fight. They could have probably gotten him P.Will and Kelly Pavlik..but none of them would have put in their young guys against him because Martinez's age. Hype up one older guy for a few years.or a young guy for over a decade? Top Rank would have NEVER put in Chavez Jr with him. Canelo out of the question as well. Dibella has done a decent job and got him the fights he's known for, what he HAS done wrong is letting him sit back waiting. Top Rank also would have made Mayweather IMPOSSIBLE for him, and that's his dream fight. In the grand scheme of things, that's the most important fight to him, and only wants chavez jr for the title, not for the name. Let's face it..you can't make a legacy beating Chavez Jr or canelo at this stage of their careers.. Beating Floyd (for anyone who manages to do it, if ever) is going to give them a lot of prestige. Lets face it, Cotto was out of the question, Floyd 100% out with Top Rank, and would still be disputable even with GBP, due to weight. Canelo was too young, and still is VERY unproven. Chavez Jr even more so. Who else, really...is out there that is considered a big name opponent? Pirog, all these guys are the same, beating them just makes people say "he was a nobody". He's beating good opponents, maybe not making obscene amounts of money, but if he keeps winning he'll get a pay day. He should be more active, Dibella IS managing him badly in that regard, but in terms of the fights he's getting..they're not TOO bad.

Then again, if Lee does hit as hard as he's sometimes given credit for, no matter how tough you are, there's only so much you can take, so we'll see how often he can catch Chavez, and how much he can absorb in return. Chavez jr more durable IMO.
            I agree

If Chavez wins legitimately is he still a fraud?

Lol another Texas fight. Chavez has the easy win here. I had him winning anyways but now there is no doubt.

I really wanted to see Jr vs Martinez. Too bad I'll be watching it on stream. I don't buy these scam ppv's from Arum. Maybe if he put a undercard on it for once.

Martinez's main problem is that he is Argentinian and not Mexican or Puerto Rican. He just doesn't have the ready made fanbase that he would have if he was from those places. If Arum or GB had him I think they would be very hesitant to match him with guys who could sell out arenas in NY,Cali, and Texas.

Not saying if he was with GB or TR he would have fought Chavez jr or Canelo. But he definitely would be in the running for Floyd Mayweather. He definitely would have gotten a shot at Miguel Cotto. He would have gotten Kirkland, or Pirog. At the very least with a major Promoter he would not have his titles stripped and probably would hold multiple titles by now.

Being Argentinian has very little to do with it. Pavlik had a following and he wasnt mexican or puerto rican. Jermaine Taylor in his day had a following and hes not mexican or PR. Bhop has a following. People love the MW division.
Sergio Martinez is and continues to be stepped by the WBC and other belts as well as HBO because he doesn't have the strong arm of a good promoter.
Do you really think if he was with TR or GB he would have been stripped? Or would HBO force the fight with Dzinzurik?
                      I don't think so.
