If Floyd knocked people out cold people would not give a rats ass about any of that garbage.

How many years did Tyson spend in prison, for rape in a much more highly publicized legal event. Most people would only have a vague idea what Floyd even did or the charges against him, which looking at this thread is true.

Floyd's personality does rub plenty the wrong way, a certain old school sect would have a very hard time getting behind such a guy, but even if he acted normal not everyone would be behind him~ to a different group he would be called fake who want a bit of edge from a prize fighter.

The only way to please everybody as a US boxer is to leave dudes laying~ you can be popular and get far without that ability but you can't please everyone.

No offence to the TS, but this threads premise and virtually ever single response in this thread is nonsense. FMJ is the biggest boxing PPV attraction in the USA today. That basically means that he is appreciated FULL STOP!!!! An unappreciated boxer would not pull in over a million views everytime he laces his gloves up.

I bet if he actually wore USA boxing shorts, fought out of the U.S. and talked about the U.S. a lot then he would. Bet that.

A lot of people want to see him lose because they think he talks a lot of shyt and doesn't back it. Ask Oscar De La Hoya. Haha. People wanted him to lose and see his face messed up. Oh, and their wife or girlfriend drooling over him.

Only hardcore boxing fans pay to see a fighter they don't like lose, or what they might think will be a good matchup. Greenburg (before he got the chop) has talked about the demographic of Mayweathers PPV's from tallying terrestrial and satellite buys as coming from "urban" neighbourhoods. That's code for African American neighbourhoods. Are they really all buying to see floyd lose??? Sorry bro, but to me that argument is complete nonsense, as is the one the TS has started here. Floyd may possibly be underappreciated in the grand scheme of boxing, but the cash register indicates he's still THE MOST APPRECIATED BOXER ON EARTH in the UNITED STATES.

Well of course he's going to have black people watch his fights also. Haha. I thought you were going to see it's his majority of PPV viewers. And not just hardcore; if they don't like him, they'll try to find a reason to like the other guy just to get it.

Still he's the most popular fighter in the united States. To me that doesn't correlate with being underappreciated. Rolling Stone just did a piece calling him boxing's last rockstar. He makes some off the cuff remarks on twitter and everyone get's their panties in a twist. He's the man in boxing fight now. He's boxing's most recognised face in the United States, and in all seriousness probably globally. Floyd (and his fans) need to stop complaining about recognition. The general public knows Floyd is the real deal. A guy doesn't get paid hundreds of millions of dollars in their field of expertise if they aren't indeed getting recognition as being damn good.
