I think he was shaking his head in disappointment. The guy just lost a big payday with that loss, July 7th on Showtime against DeMarco.

Thompson had a close fight loss to Rahimov who's a good prospect and he's got a lot of KOs so not as if he was a late notice guy looking for the payday he's a decent pro but the fact Linares still couldn't survrive early rounds without recieving damage is /was troubling he better figure something out superfast if he wants to continue onwards with his career however the ending will leave enough doubt to grant so leiway bcse of the nature the fight was stopped but his inability to avoid having his flesh tear with ease could spell doom

The Doc might have stopped it a little soon, but Linares was in real trouble, you guys shouldn't take away from Thompson's victory, Linares didn't get stunned and cut on his own.

i've always thought linares cant take punches well,he wobbles and seems to get hurt easily,his defense isn't the best,against de marco yeah he was winning but was getting tagged by big punches and you could tell it was about to end at any time,i thought that was a good stoppage linares looked so hurt in that fight,and a club fighter like thompson hurts him too,linares just isn't good at taking punches,plain and simple and thats important becasue there will always be a guy who can take yours and fire back
