define defence? his primary defensive asset is his legs....

he uses his legs well, he's a quick fighter that's his style.... he can block punches, move his head but that's not really his game.... primarily he uses his legs....

so to say he has 'no defence' is absurd....

the best boxers of all time, by the large majority relied on having GREAT chins.... having a good/ great chin can help even the best.... he's lacking in that department and it might well be the difference between success and failure for him.

Linares showing once again that there is too much flash and a eye pleasing style but not enough substance. He looked clueless against the overhand right. Having said that, the fight shouldn't have been stopped because of that cut.

It was obvious the cut was very bad because the ref had to call a time out just after a knock down... now we know you could see the bone and required 10-12 inside stitches and 10-12 outside.

He was supposedly cut to the bone, the stoppage was warranted.

But you're supposed to look at it closely for more than 2 seconds flat before stopping the fight.

If u see bone then wats the point. Even if u think the doc didn't look closely he was rite. Why argue a moot point?

Its obvious y he was fighting in Japan all that time. We can all see the "talent" but, this dude has a tremendous lacking of fundamental defense. Cant place all the blame on Roach. But, this does seem to be common among roach trained fighters.

To be honest it didnt seem like the doctor really looked closely at the cut.

I can only go off what I saw (obviously doctor would have a better angle) but it appeared to be a bad stoppage.

Linares did shake his head when he walked away, didnt argue but could tell by his body language that he did not agree.

Exposed bone, 20+ stitches (10/12 internal) and Linarez says he probably got nerve damage... and some people still arguing dr. incompetence/favoritism

Just because he ended up being right doesn't mean he wasn't biased. The doctor in the Klitschko-Lewis fight took much longer to stop it and the cut was like 10 times worse.
