Wow. Didn't see the fight but damn. So i'm reading the stoppage was premature. I thought the DeMarco stoppage was premature actually. But the problem is Linares did not argue about it, I read this was the case here too.

Well that explains the claims of bad stoppage[if true]. Thompson is a Mexican fighter, and the fight was in Mexico. Still gotta watch the fight to see the severity of the infamous first round.

everyone in this thread bashing linares hard....

linares is a supremely skilled boxer, but his lack of a chin is proving to be his achilles heal....

he's not as bad as people are making out, and he's not as good as people 'hoped'...

happens all the time....
