If Odlanier Solis can come back from injury and get himself in shape the way Chisora did in his last fight will it be him, chisora or another who is the future of the heavyweight division? Speaking on talent only, not marketability, what fighter has the most upside in the foreseeable future? If Solis can get back to AT LEAST where he was before his knee injury, I'd say him.
Solis or Chisora, who's the future?

I would say Solis, but it's not easy to come back from knockout losses that injure a fighter. We shall see. He definitely is the 3rd most talented heavyweight.
I wonder if any other olympic gold medalists has ever been knocked out in the first rd. I can't think of a single one.Last edited by Mr. Invincible; 03-30-2012, 11:46 AM. -
I've never understood why Solis gets touted so highly as a future hw star. I've watched numerous fights of his and have seen nothing that's impressive or stood out from other fighters in the division. Does the guy even have one signature win that can lay claim to this argument (future of the hw division)?
As to Chisora, he's looked decent in his recent fights but I think his out-of-the ring antics will prevent him from progressing in his career. Not sure how long he's been
but a long stretch of inactivity will only set him back and cause problems.
I picked Helenius as the future of the hw division. He's got good size, power and skill and his style is very fan friendly. He's also fought top level competition in his still early career and has gained a lot of good experience that his peers have not.Comment

I put Other. Who's the other? Jennings. Why? I love Solis but he took a whole year off cause of a bad injury and who knows how he will recover from that and he's gonna be 32 soon. Jennings on the other hand is a little younger with 13 fights and showing skills while also in very good shape it seems.Comment

I see a much bigger upside with Solis (should he come back healthy) than helenius, skillwise. I love the way the big guy has been brought along, but he's slow and with no head movement. I think a guy like Solis would give him boxing lessons.I've never understood why Solis gets touted so highly as a future hw star. I think it's awesome how the future of the division is going to be based on two Vitali Klitschko victims. Lol.Comment
