Roy always led with the left hook that came from somewhere around his ankles. In his prime that thing was amazing. I still love going back and watching the Roy of old. He did things in the ring I had never seen and still have never seen copied that well.

Roy didnt have ajab? Man, when RJ used it it was AWESOME. AND Mark breland had an EXCELLENT jab..Marlon Starling told me many times that Mark had the best and HARDEST JAB ("LIKE OTHER PEOPLES RIGHT HAND")of ANYBODY he ever fought or sparring including Virgil Hill, Tommy Hearns, Honeyghan, Brown, Blocker etc

Overall....best jab of all times belonged to Larry Holmes.
He could control, punish, & dominate an opponent with that punch alone. It was heavy, fast, accurate, & he used it very wisely.
Ali's jab could dominate...but he flicked it just a little too much for it to be the best.
Joe Louis had a perfectly straight & heavy jab. Foreman's jab is underrated, & it became more prominent in his "second career".
              Liston's jab was a neck-breaker.

                ...cont'd

Marvin Hagler's right jab was a thing of beauty....& many times his right jab was more like a power punch (see his fight with Caveman Lee, for an example).
Hearns' jab was a whip. Sharp, & super-fast....coming from long range. When combined with his awesome right....created the sports' greatest-ever 1-2 combo.
Oscar DeLaHoya's left jab controlled many a world class fighter. He never really extended it, but it came out rapidly, landed with more authority than it looked like it should have.
The hardest jab -lb4lb- I have ever seen....was Ike Quartey's.
                It was unbelievable.

Chris Eubank had more of a hard, punishing jab rather than a range-finder, it was excellent and effective When he used it ..

Yea I think Ike Quartey definatly deserves mention in this list. He had a great jab. Unfortunatly it seems to not be as consistant (from his last fight).
